I differ greatly in my definition from Janet Napolitano. I believe
that *known* terrorists are identified members of a group that believes
that violence or the threat of that violence is the correct mode for
settling differences or accomplishing goals.
That said, one could be a member of a terrorist group, yet not guilty
of any transgressions. The group may have done things you were not
involved with or had done them prior to you becoming a member or
associate. Therefore, you may be consorting with known terrorists and
be completely innocent of any overt action on your own, but you may be
painted by the same broad brush.
