Exactly.   One leg of the three-legged stool:  personal savings, company
pension (stop laughing), Social Security.

The company pension part is pretty much gone these days, unless you work
for the government.   Which sucks IMO because the rest of us are paying
the pensions of the government workers.   I'd rather put that money
toward my own retirement.
