From what I've been told, by a sb400 owner & grease monkey, is just put a
proper cooling system in your car and you'll have no problems.

What your refering to is the steam holes.  You just take the 400 head
gaskets and drill the missing holes into the water jacket of the head.
Not as big a problem as it might first appear.
