You are always going to feel uncomfortable when you try something new,
because you will probably be thinking of the consequences of mistakes.
And mistakes are inevitable, so ...
Just deal with it. Try the new stuff anyway. Just be as safe as you can.

This is what I was commenting to Ken about. Clubs that deal effectively
with new pilots in an effective way like this are doing a lot of good
for the hobby, don't you think?
