Well I dont use Warp 4.0, just good 'ol Warp 3.0, and when I installed
quake from CD rom, it installed perfectly apart from 1 thing:-) You
guessed it, no sound, this was because I didnt set the blaster variable
in [OS/2] autoexec.bat.. However I run a system where I can boot to 'either;
Dos or Os/2, and while I did have the blaster settings in my Dos Autoexec.bat
they weren't in the Os/2 one..
I also pathed Quake fully in Os/2 Autoexec.bat when I put the blaster
settings in, and Quake works fine using the defaults from install. Ok
on my rig its 'sloow' as treacle, but thats because I have slow HDD's
and only 8meg of memory, so most of Quakes memory is virtual..
But I do get sound now, only error is on startup Quake reports it cannot
'exec' autoexec.cfg...
However it does expect to be able to 'exec' config.cfg & default.cfg and
quake.rc... So perhaps its a pathing problem??

Well I know it does work:-) at least under Warp 3.0 so its probably a
minor setting problem of some sort. Is there any way you can slow your
system down enuff to actually see what the error message is?
                 Cheers,
                         Cliff
