I would have to see the modem in use that out performs a Courier V.e
with V.34+ and x2. I had a 9600b Hayes that I traded in for a K56
Accura - it's currently running at V.34 28.8k.

Had dealings with them this month. A 9 month old Courier V.e with x2
went south on me, donno what happened, wouldn't place or make a call. It
answered all AT commands - just didn't do in/out data. Called, got an
SRO, sent it in, was fixed by USR (or 3Com) but during the process of
replacing 3 resistors, my x2 capabilaties were lost. Called USR, was
refered to the appropriate 888 #, and received an x2 key to allow me to
re-install x2 again. Great service. No muss, no fuss, just good
service, all at no charge.
Later...
