Don't know about Alaska, but Siberia is generally very poor and very
underdeveloped area. I don't think anyone knows how many people live there,
or where exactly are the towns and so on. It's a huge area that is sort of
forgotten (on purpose) by the Russian government. I doubt most of Siberia
(apart from some mining colonies) has even telephones, let alone computers.
