Thanks Hamish Thanks for your reply: HM> The Spirit 336L is a pretty generic Rockwell, while the NetComm M34F HM> isn't. At a guess, the #C1 is causing your error. If NetComm have an HM> E34F listed, try that, or something else fairly generic Rockwellish; HM> Dynalink, Maestro, etc. Since posting my original query I changed my Cooee modem settings to the NetComm Automodem 34F which seems to be coping quite well with the Spirit.
