Only HM> really installable by machines, and not removable. QFP would have been a more accurate term, because there are hundreds of different surface-mount component packages. It is possible to remove QFP devices with a surface-mount workstation, and it is even possible to remove them manually, but even with the right tools, it is a risky job, particularly on large devices. And last time I looked at those particular Dynalink internals, they had a 40-pin (maybe 48) socketed DIP OTP EPROM. -- Lewin A.R.W.
