Hi Frank, IS> I had a look at some compiled set handling code back a while ago. I was IS> quite surprised that Frank thought it so poor; I actually found it pretty IS> nifty, and fast, though I was looking at smallish sets IS> (byte, word, longint size) mostly. FM> That was in TP6, which I still use for DOS-based programs. Same here. I've just got the IDE going in a DOS box under OS/2, without much drama. From what Glenn says, I may need to find a copy of BP7 and do the OS/2 patches that David Begley crashed my _ages_ ago. Damned if I'm going to be forced into using C++, or Win95 :) Funny thing, someone sent me a copy of Borland C++ for OS/2 version 1.0 recently. I can't get excited about it .. FM> I have since FM> heard that Borland have substantially improved the set-handling code in FM> BP7. I'll have a look how it's done in Delphi - one day. :-) I'm sure you'll still be around here to tell us, for a while :) I suppose I might keep an eye out for a 2ndhand copy of Delphi; it reportedly runs in WinOS/2 more or less ok, though only to make Windows programs of course. Better than just DOS, I guess, for some things.
