subject: Suicide Clown by Lee McAndrew

Familiarity breeds contemplation
The downtrodden clown no longer laughs
He hangs himself upon a cross
To try and pay for his transgressions
The normal folk they look in disgust
They spit their venom in his face
Laughing at his freakish form
They all hate you Suicide Clown

It's hard to be a good man
Soon enough you are consumed
You'd hate so much to be them
Yet you hate to be yourself
Life was once a sweet sweet thing
Now you wait while they drive in the nails
The crowd can't wait to see you perish
Where did you go wrong Suicide Clown?

The holy man instructs the blessed
Of the sins that have led you here
Proclaiming scripture after scripture
Reminding you that you are damned
A small child cries "what about love?"
The godly ones cry "CRUCIFY!"
A large procession gathered there
To your soul burn Suicide Clown.

You're up there to make a stand
Against the lies that make up life
People dare not stand too close
In case you bleed upon their clothes
Splinters are embedded in your back
And vinegar it just tastes so bitter
You live for nothing Suicide Clown
You die for nothing Suicide Clown

Eager with anticipation
The crowd waits for the final act
A creaking sound is heard by all
As the crucifix cracks under your weight
The multitudes they roar with laughter
You live and suffer to amuse
Paint, blood and tears decorate your face
You screwed up again Suicide Clown.
