You were the one who brought the subject up, Bill. I'm comfortable with
comparing countries not my own *and* my own, and seeing how we succeed and
fail comparatively. It appears you are not.

As I recall (not having been alive at that time), most everyone ignored the
purges because they weren't widely known.
