Had planned on an ide usb external drive for backup with scsi as main
drive. Should work ok? Never considered that one could have 2 scsi
controllers. Found some new original scsi cards that came with the Umax
scanner, however they are isa and mboard only has pci.
Could always acquire some more cheap scsi cards and experiment with
something other than Adaptec. What performance improvement
is expected? If I stick with ide hard drives could use the Adaptec 2940uw
with the correct adapter cable?
