If we could get some real reporting out of Iraq I could disagree or agree.
Half the press seems to say that all the Fallujah crowd are wintering now
in Mosul, and the sky is falling.  The other half parrots that
Administration "bringing democracy" pablum.

Today, the mess tent rocket has turned into a suicide satchel bomb.  The
casualties seem about right for that, to anyone who's been keeping track of
the Israeli dance halls and cafes.  I'm not a huge fan of embedded
reporting, or of briefing-room sycophancy. There are probably three
Arabic-speaking, non-embedded and non-Islamist reporters left in country,
and they might be dead tomorrow.
