Doesn't sound like other common tossers if you can't remember their names. ;)
Fastecho is/was a common tosser, but imho that is not enough to call that
insecure arcmail tossing feature common. There are still enough nodes who do
not support it and myself struggled because of that.
I was asked in echomail if i received the netmails, which i didn't. Further
investigation revealed a region coordinator switched on packed crashmailing by
accident. In the result many netmails from his points to other points never
reached their destination point, because they stoped on the destination node
systems.
That was very annoying to me, i missed some nice software discount codes and
netmail discussion due to that. The NM communication was broken and how do you
think will other users like that? It looks like the destination is not
interessed to talk to you and you may get a false impression of that "arrogant
ignorer". Why should i use a network if i be ignored? That's no fun, i leave.
This possible side effect makes use of packed insecure netmail XAB from a
fidonetwide point of view.
