BTW, I've been thinking about writing a comprehensive FAQ for this echo.
I've written a few before, during my QuickBASIC days.  Would you think
that might be worth the five or six messages it might span?
It would cover topics as simple as "I want a better input routine" and
as complicated as "What is hashing" and "What are pointers good for in
real world code?"
