-=> Thus spake John Piper unto Andrew Blume <=- AB> 1. What is an SDL? JP> There are other modems which also have the ability to be upgraded in JP> the same manner as the USR. Sorry to raise this old issue but I have one of the infamous Dynalinks which are the re-badged USR Sportsters with the v42 bug. Interestingly, I've never experienced this bug (ie the delay during direct transfer mode) that others have reported and wondered whether Dynalink applied SDLs to these modems to fix this bug? Word was that Dynalink refused to admit there was a bug, but USR was issuing upgrades. Can you (or anyone else) enlighten me on this?
