| subject: | [OS2HW] fat32 failure on flash disk |
Been following Warpdennis activity on installing usb flash drives. Today
decided to do the same. From all the helpful hints installed usb
drivers on a Warp 4 fix15 usb 1.1 controller. Drivers as follows:
BASEDEV=USBUHCD.SYS /V
BASEDEV=USBD.SYS /V
BASEDEV=USBHID.SYS /V
BASEDEV=CWUSBMSD.ADD /REMOVABLES:1 /FIXED_DISKS:0 /FORCE_TO_REMOVABLE /V
1-26-03 6:18p 31250 34 cwusbmsd.add
9-06-02 3:46p 31846 0 USBMSD.ADD
9-14-05 4:35p 23386 0 USBD.SYS
9-14-05 5:35p 42112 0 usbehcd.sys
9-14-05 4:35p 13292 0 USBHID.SYS
9-14-05 5:35p 35532 0 usbohcd.sys
9-14-05 4:35p 28056 0 usbuhcd.sys
Had used the standard usbmsd.sys but same outcome. Usb stack operational,
4g Kingston flash drive identified by bios at boot. Icon in
Drives folder. Failure message is from fat32.ifs at boot stating it cannot
find any fat32 partitions.
My config entries:
IFS=D:\PROGRAM\fat32.ifs
BASEDEV=DANIDASD.DMD /lf
call=d:\program\cachef32.exe /F /L:OFF
F32PARTS.EXE says there are no fat32 partitions even though flash drive is
formatted fat32 and operational with files in doze.
Which is offending item: usb stack or fat32 ifs?
Also have usbcfgb7a.zip. The .exe fails to load with message: exception
occured: GetUserDefaultLCID at $0002b101 program terminated
