 That sounds like the people who say FDR allowed Pearl Harbor to
 get the US into the war. No, that is like saying FDR did the
 right thing in allowing Pearl Harbor to happen to get the US
 into the war.

 Long ago I decided that, if we were going to have a nuclear war,
 then it would have been better if it had happened in the early
 '50s. Then we had a more powerful nuclear force, and no one had
 enough to blow up most of the world. So the casualties would
 have been muchlower, and the Soviet Union and China would
 probably have fallen.

 That does not, in anyway say that we should have a nuclear war.
 What you said seems on the level of saying we should have had
 one.
