You are talking about high school here, correct? I know here there isn't a
choice of classes at the elementary school level. I'm not sure there was much
of a choice of teachers at the high school level. Maybe a second teacher taught
the same course, but you didn't get to choose unless there was a problem.

That is where the school should have stepped in. It is illegal anywhere for
kids to miss that much school. Here the parents could be arrested for the kid
not attending school. One woman actually spent time in jail for it.
