DC>> That catchall was that she was the Primary Custodial Parent. It DC>> tended to negate the fact that it was supposed to be Joint DC>> Custody. SC>> That shouldn't have mattered at all. All joint custodies are that SC>> way. If there is a visitation set in the court order, whether SC>> there is joint custody or just visitation, it has to be honored SC>> or the offending party could get into trouble. DC> She organized things to conflict with my time. And, as the kids DC> were old enough not to have to come, they often didn't. That wouldn't have stopped her from getting into trouble though. A court order is a court order. I'm sure the courts would have made her change her habit of doing that. Fear of jail would have done it. Although my grandkids don't see their dad at his choosing, being older, they have things to do that would conflict if they saw him all of the time. My daughter was told though that if they had plans, say a party to go to or something at school, since it would be his time to have them, he would have to get them there and back. I don't know what was in your court papers or much else about your situation, but she got away with breaking the law.
