Hi Paul,
PA> Just a few thoughts on the Borg...
PA> 1) The Borg claim in _First Contact_ that they are the greatest lifeform
in
PA> the Universe, combining the best features of organic and machine. So how
PA> come they can't reproduce themselves?
PA> 2) Why are there no non-humanoid Borg?
well concerning races, there are a lot of strange views and explanations in
Star trek but when You look at this scene in this TNG episode where the
Enterprise team beamed on that borg ship and found the babies, which were
prepared to receive first transplantations You can see why they are mainly
humanoid; and they do not seem to assimilate any kind of physical
"details",
just any kind of thinking, behaviour and tactical knowledge as You could see
when they assimilated Picard!
But I AM still wondering about their origin!
Is there a home planet of the borg somewhere or are there just a few or
aybe
one big borgship and some smaller one to explore space??
And why do they look so "familiar"; was there (maybe) a time on earth
thousands
of years ago when there was a civilisation starting into space and later de-
veloping to this biomechanical way of life or did they really start in the
Delta Quad?? Well...
Achim
