LL> Not a problem. Just buy Chinese.

Chinese brands don't meet the European safety standards. We do frontal offset
impacts at 64 km/h. Here's a video vom the ADAC, the German AAA:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ak-qVkW888k

Too bad, there's no subtitles in English. The steering wheel got pushed to the
side, intruded by 20 centimeters and the airbag inflated next to the driver
dummy while its head impacted on the dashboard. And the team had to use a
crowbar to oben the door, while the safety standard requires that the doors can
be openen by kids after that crash scenario.
Later on, the narrator explains that they couldn't test child seats mounted in
the oposite direction, because the seat belts are too short. :-)

Moreover, the Brilliace BS6 from that crash test comes with a top speed of only
190 km/h. Some Belgian importer tried to sell a later version for 18.000 EUR,
but you can buy two Kia Rio with the same top speed for that price.
And I guess, they didn't sell any in the US, because the only available gearbox
was a 5-speed manual. :-)
