ML> I'm pretty new on the modem scene and I was just wondering if anyone ML> in Australia, knows how to setup their modem so that it disconnects ML> the previous call so that you can answer the incoming call. Usually leave this upto the software you are using (it issues an ATA, to auto answer) OR you can set the modem itself to autoanswer each time by setting dip switch 5 off. setting switch 5 on lets the software take control of answering. ML> I have a U.S. Robotics Courier. 33.6K. ML> Any assiatance you can give me would be extremely appreciated! OR are you talking about Carrier detect being left High all the time.. Like when you are online and reboot your machine and it does not drop the connection?????. Look at your dip switch settings and make sure you have &C1 on and dip switch 6 set correctly (off). The one dip switch that you normally change when initially installing a Courier is 9 on an internal courier (and I think 9 on an external Courier) It allows you to either stay connected or drop the connection when the +++ escape code is issued. Make sure you have dip switch 9 on & 10 off Russell --- Terminate 4.00/Pro* Origin: Electron Migration (3:640/305.55) SEEN-BY: 50/99 54/99 620/243 623/630 640/201 206 230 305 306 311 702 820 821 SEEN-BY: 640/822 823 829 711/401 413 430 808 934 712/311 407 505 506 517 623 SEEN-BY: 712/624 628 704 841 888 713/317 714/906 772/20 800/1 @PATH: 640/305 820 712/624 711/934 |
