I haven't gotten a correct answer yet, over in MENSA. However, a
PARROTS guy, Bruce Feist, sent me an extremely detailed solution
by netmail, using calculus, including drawings. Yeee-haaa!
The answer was, the "half-a-glass" of water would hold just
over 21% of what the full glass would hold.
