One of our food makers is famous in NZ for making small tins of 
baby-food,  but lost heaps of money when they first tried 
exporting them to the Pacific Islands.  It seems that the

Heh, heh ... you mean, like explaining the obvious to ... people ?

No...  when you command it to "VDE filename.doc /M", it strips off 
all the flamboyant formatting and delivers an ASCII version of the 
contents - bloody marvellously !!!

When you've finished,  you have to insert the text file back into 
MS Word when it suddenly expands 10-fold back to a doc file...
