I find it amusing the way conservbatives always blame the liberals for
everything. Seems to me that Bush has won the votes in Congress, the Dems
went along with his plans so that just don't wash. The administration
testified before Congress about the cost of occupation. The numbers they
swore to was a lot less ( and I mean a LOT less) than what we are paying.
IIRC the perosn was asked about various possibilites and he was very
adament that THIS was ALL it would cost PERIOD.

IF Iran is free it will be due to the actions of the Iranian people who
have been liberalizing and moving towards democracy without our 'aid'. The
power of the fundamentalists has  grown since we invaded Iraq. An external
threat will cause people to unify against that threat.

IF Saudi is free I suspect you won't like the new government either. of
course we seem to be supporting the former soviet republics , the stans and
they are as bad or worse as far as human rights violations than Iraq/Iran.
Best not to support them in the beginning.
