What is true is that in that past, IBM was inconsistent about adding the
build level strings.  Since about 2000 or so, they've been pretty
consistent.  If your drivers don't have build level strings, you are
probably running an antique version of OS/2.

It's fairly recent, so you will need eCS or an IBM support contract.
