 No, he said he took the initiative in the congress in the
 creation of the internet. If you want to claim that one person
 created the internet, then do so. You will look even more
 foolish.

 Once you admit a lot of people contributed to the creation of
 the internet, and few of them on an actual team to do it, then
 you can acknowledge Gore's participation consisted of the
 legislative end. Oh, and he didn't even claim he did that alone,
 just that he took the initiative.
