Sneakers still last pretty long, don't they? Afterall they get worn more I
think (except for Bob who wears the ECCOs daily ) so it may only
appear they wear out sooner?

I recall having a pair of white (eventually blackish/grey) Adidas in high
school -- all of high school, all day, every day
