| subject: | MODEMS FOR A BBS |
Hi Nigel, In reply to your message NH> I bought one of those modems myself and I was wondering what you used NH> as your initialisation string. I use ATZ (thats all and have had no problems at all) NH> I am having problems connecting to modems at 33.6K also do you know if NH> a windows 95 driver is available anywhere yet for this modem? As for connecting at 33.6k , my best connect at present has been 32.4k (quite a few times) but mostly 28.8k. I'm happy with this result as I live A LONG way from my exchange and in an area with BAD phone lines. As for a windows 95 driver, can't help you here as I don't use WIN95. But try Mike Bourne Electronics (the distributors) for any ideas / advice. I've found the company always very helpful. Well that's about all I can think of a present, but please let me know how you go (expecially with the Win95 driver, as I will need one 1 day)..... Bye Greg ...
