T: ->If the lighting crew doesn't have proper communication systems, they ->shouldn't be involved in a major production to start with. Ahh, sh*t happens in the wierdest places on a production site - but you know that, right? :-) -> ...I was amazed that they would go to such lengths to prepare the -> "experience"... That's my point. I think Bonnie and I weren't communicating clearly when we lit off this discussion. I was speaking of straight hoary ol' rock'n'roll stuff; I think she's more interested in theater applications and, potentially, semi-accoustic acts (ala PP&M)... -> The shows were spectacular, but it didn't sound good. That's typically. It sucks, but it's typical. Adjust your expectations and enjoy hearing "The Wall Part II" performed live for the umpteenth time. :-) -> 1/2 an hour is never enough time to align a system the way I like... Unfortunately, though, and you know this, lengthy soundchecks are _right out_ in most roadshows these days. Again, a "typically sucky" situation :-( ... -> The exception would be those venues that are just plain impossible to -> cover properly... A 20,000 seat hockey arena falls in that category. Hell, even Bob Scovil has admitted publicly to giving up after 30 minutes of beating on a system's rigging, when in an arena... Regards, Tim == ->seating installed so high that the air is thin. Take care. ->... 64,999,999 legal gun owners killed no one yesterday. ->--- Blue Wave/DOS v2.30 :324/127 --- ViaMAIL!/WC4 v1.00y ----------------> * Origin: Computer Castle / 20 Lines / Newton, NH / 603-382-0338 * Origin: NeverLand-WC4 Beta Site! v.34+ (x2), 5+gig, 24/7/365 (1:100/440) |
