These guys are doing 230kbps (on 900-1200MHz) on an amateur TCP/IP network around Northern California, and are working on setting up 2MHz links on 10GHz (radar! :) using standard ethernet cards. It's actually a web site (I ftp'd it all, several megs, and set up the pages locally for a good off-line explore) but I don't know the URL. Full circuits, antenna designs, contacts .. whether vaguely possible (legally) in Oz, dunno.
