Incidentally, if the "correct driver" interacts with the printer, that 
may cause the eCS driver to fail. Therefore I's suggested to detach the 
printer completely form Windy. Otherwise you'll never know.

This is senseless, as your printer is not a postscript printer.

Detach the printer from Windy and begin from scratch again. And prior to
any test, I strongly advise to uninstall everything printer like  and have
a reboot afterwards.
