Hi Matt,
Actually the channel spacing is 30 Khz, but cellular radios deviate
a maximum of + or - 12 Khz, making the signal no more than 24 Khz
wide.  Normal narrow-band FM as is used for most 2-way has a maximum
deviation of + or - 5 Khz, making that signal a total of 10 Khz
wide.  Also, the tuning increments in the rest of the 800 Mhz band
are 12.5 Khz, and not 15.  That is what will make a lot of images
from cellular sound bad.  I guess your answer is right in a
practical sense, just the numbers off a bit.  :-)
