<< Find your niche

According to the 'niche' theory of ecosystems, every species within a
community, be it river or rainforest, has a well-defined role in life. Every
species interacts with other species in the group, for example by forming a
predator-prey relationship, or forging a mutual bond such as that of corals
with algae.

Here's a way to classify all interactions between
any new species (and you'll see 3 of them illustrated
clearly above)
When any two species meet, or any two individuals, each
response will be one of the following:

1. A move's toward B in some type of symbiosis
(symbiosis, cooperation, etc.)
2. A moves against B in some type of conflict
(predator, fight, conflict)
3. A moves away from B in flight (prey to escape from
predator or A finds a niche free of competition
to avoid fighting with B).
4. A does not interact with B at all.

Thus every aspect of these two groups of fishes
loosely falls in one of the 4 behaviors above.
It works for all interactions of living things and/or
a living thing and its environment. Try it.
And it is based on eneryg in/waste out.
