JP> Modem Connection (Melbourne) is no longer; it's now known
JP> as USRobotics (USR bought the company out last week, I'm told).
Looks like the change of hands has been for the worse (for
support anyway).
A few weeks ago I needed to speak to somebody in tech support
(only the second time I've needed to since buying my Courier last
year).
I called Modem Connection (where I purchased from) whose phone
was answered in the name of USRobotics. I was given a number to
call for tech support.
I've now called 3 times and left messages but nobody has yet
returned my calls. I've tried emailing them from their WWW site
but my messages bounce back.
Anyway, I'm having trouble receiving faxes on it from certain
newish dedicated fax machine (a Brother plain paper unit for
one).
I'm running the current Austel Approved SDL but am willing to try
the newer "hacked" US code to see if that fixes things.
If somebody can direct me to where I can grab it from and whether
its possible to save on disk my current SDL version (in case the
US code buggers things up), I would be truly grateful.
Thanks,
