I think you'll find that if you have your EasyCall Call Waiting turned on,
it will hang up the modem. Most modems seems to suffer from this. I know I
have to make sure it isn't on when the BBS is running. To turn it on pick
up the receiver and type *43# and #43# to turn it off.

If you have an external Courier modem, just push the voice/data button on the front.
