I installed my own stack rack and equipment, but I did have the 4ga wire
from the power distribution box run into the cab by a local car stereo shop,
they put the gold connectors in and used enough fuses to protect everything.
Cost me about $90 in parts and labor, but that was almost 5 years ago,
never have had the first problem and they had all the right tools to do it in
an hour and a half...it was worth it!

I had a mag mount on the roof, coax run through the bottom of the door,
behind the seat and up to the ham radio....antenna got knocked off the truck
one day and ripped the antenna off...broke the coax...but the radio came out
just fine...
