Inspection after Loading Encapsulated Payloads
        -- 3 days before a launch --

Y-2 (L-2) operations are underway at the Tanegashima Space Center 
(TNSC).  Many engineers, operators, and workers from NASDA, H-IIA 
manufacturers and payload makers are involved in the operations. Those 
people who are at TNSC for the operations are organized as the "Launch 
Operations Team" aside form the usual organizational structure. Today 
the members of the Launch Operations Team totaled 351.

Operations around the engine

Today, pyrotechnics connection and propellant loading for the second 
stage gas jet were carried out for H-IIA F4, while the batteries of 
the Advanced Earth Observing Satellite-II were charged.
