I am up tonight looking at jupiter. it is 11:36 est and off to the side at
23h50m azimuth +174^29' altitude +65^41' I see what looks like a gas
cloud.
I have cleaned my mirrors, checked my lenses, moved the scope to 2
different places, and blocked out any stray light. It is clear as can be
here. I am using a 8" relector, with a 17mm lens. anybody else see
this? or is my cough med kicking in lol. I have checked starry night, and
also cares du ciel, wish shows tyc1397-00373-1 in this location and nothing
of a gas cloud.
thanks to all, and have a good night.
charles
