Could be their software sending a "BREAK"  turn off "long space disconnect",
you have to shange your modem's init. string.
The register is "S18" it should have a value below 128, (if it doesn't
subtract 128)
AFAIK  L.S.D. is the only remote signal able to cause a hang-up
(that'd be confusing out of context :)
The other possible cause could be an external protocol that's mis-firing.
(alt-o P) or your answer-back string (alt-o T P) hanging your modem up.
if there entries are blank they aren't the problem.
Or you could just hae a dud modem.
