 Thanks for your reply, Pete. I will try netcomm again and see if they bother
 to reply this time. (guess they are more interested in selling new modems
 than upgrades for older ones) :(

 Guess I may have to look at buying a V.34 if I can't get hold of an upgrade.

 Are the M34f's as good as I am told they are? A friend has one but I figure
 he may be biased in his opinion.
