The only thing Al Gore suffered from was a bruised ego.
And that was quickly restored by going on the chicken and
mashed potatoes circuit promoting his movie about global
warming.

He could have won the Democratic nomination in 2004, had
he sought it.  He likely could have won it in 2008.  Even
2016 would have been doable.  So why did he refuse to run,
even when he knew he would likely have been the nominee?

Gore has made two films about global warming.  His message
has been well-received around the world, not just in this
country.  Of course, he is not doing any of this for free.
But it does show the kind of man he is, and where his true
priorities are.
