It is very scary, and I have been surprised at the number of people =
and lawyers who don't see this as a real threat to the very foundations =
of each individual's liberty and freedom. How free are a people whose =
home of 35 years can be confiscated at gun point, not to build a needed =
highway or public park or public hospital, but to "GIVE" or sell
for a = "CHEAP" price to a private developer seeking to profit
from that land by = building condos or a subdivision.

Apparently obliterating the living environment of some humans for the =
sake of a private mall parking lot is not nearly as important an issue = as
forcing some snail darters to relocate so a public power plant can be =
built.

That's scary, As more governments find out about this I expect more =
to try and use it. Personally I think that those who support this should =
be the first to give up their property . Hey Mr. Mayor, I'll move into =
your house and they can take mine .

Increasing the tax base can be a public good but what if you move =
all of the Public out . Good for who then.

Actually the 10,000 may be understated. A case similar to this =
was argued to the Supreme Court this year. I don't know if a decision =
has come out yet or not, but the really scary part is that the decision =
is far from certain and the court could rule that its perfectly fine for =
politicians to steal people's property in order to enhance the so called =
public good of increasing the local property tax base.
