Midi is not sound.
It is just a instruction to use instrument x with note y.
Each midi player sounds different.

Download midi file and get some kind of midi player.
You will have to find something called "soundfont".
This is a database with sampled instruments.
Or connect it with sythesizer to use it as midi
player.
