FB>Have you tried QEdit (now called TSE Junior)? It's a shareware
FB>editor from SEMware. They also have a more advanced TSE editor
FB>which is commercial software. I've used their editors for many
FB>years and they're really excellent.
Seems like I have tried qedit; but not found what I want, which is:
one that will split the screen *vertically*, say two 40 cols. so I
can open up an .asm file, and when I find a call, to put the subroutine
on the right side, be able to scroll down it without scrolling the
return site. that way, if the subroutine does anything to registers
or whatever that may follow the point of the call, I will be reminded
by having that right in front of me.
Since I work in assy, none of the instruction lines need more than 40
columns. The other thing I would like to see is what I remember was in
APPLEWRITER years ago: the backspace key dumped into a 128 byte buffer;
then if you used ctrl-rt arrow, or whatever, that LIFO buffer typed
the word back out again. it was really neat for moving words around in
a sentance without having to go to the trouble of marking blocks.
