From what I was told, the source code that was released is beta and
severely broken, meaning that there is no filebase support, et cetera.  I
haven't looked at it myself but from other programmers this came so I'll
take their word for it.  If the source code to v1.08 had been released, I
can tell you that there'd already been a few different branches from that
code.
