Cryptoendoliths: -15?C - and Pyrococcus furiosus: +113?C.

Which is notable for being just slightly above and slightly below the
boundaries of liquid water. And this after 3.8? 4.? billion years of evolution.

Life as we know it now, is clearly that which works within the narrow narrow
narrow temperature bounds of liquid water.
