ML>Actually at sea level, the gravitational constant is 32.1740485564...
ML>ft/sec^2.
Depends on latitude, and if you are going to that many places, local
density variations in the crust. There is a place in the indian ocean
where satellites take a dip in their orbit because of a major density
difference in the crust.
ML>If the object was at rest and released in a vacuum at sea level, in one
ML>second the object would be traveling at a velocity of 32 fps. In two
ML>seconds it would be at 64 fps, at three seconds, 96 fps, and so on.
ML>(OK, so I rounded.)
Yeah, but then it would be dropping below sea level... :-)
ML>I don't know what the bullet's "density" would have to do with it, but
ML>the mass, the drag coefficient, the air density, and the cross sectional
ML>area would have a bearing on the terminal velocity. In addition, the
Density was just a way of combining mass with frontal or swept area.
